The Streaming Wars Launches Webinar Series: Unveiling 2025’s Key Insights and Strategies

The Streaming Wars is excited to launch its new webinar series, which explores the challenges and innovations shaping the media and entertainment industry. Each session features conversations with industry leaders, data-driven insights, and actionable strategies for success.

Our first webinar, “The Audience Equation: Winning Viewers and Value in 2025,” is set to go live on February 13 at noon ET. This session will spotlight Looper Insights’ 2025 Guide: Streaming Forward – Trends Shaping Digital Entertainment in 2025, a comprehensive report based on a survey conducted between November and December 2024. The survey gathered candid insights from 72 managers and above from streamers, broadcasters, and platforms across the U.S. and Europe. This anonymized survey provided a rare glimpse into the industry’s challenges, priorities, and emerging trends.

The guide explores 10 key topics that defined the streaming industry in 2024 while identifying critical trends to watch for 2025. The webinar will highlight the most notable findings, offering a comparative look at how streamers, broadcasters, and platforms perceive the future of digital entertainment.

What’s Inside the 2025 Guide?

  • Bundling as a Strategy: Cross-industry partnerships—combining streaming with music, retail, and telecom services—are expected to expand in 2025, creating ecosystems that enhance convenience and loyalty.
  • Ad-Supported Models: Hybrid tiers combining ad-free and ad-supported options are gaining traction, providing flexibility for cost-conscious audiences and sustainable revenue streams for platforms.
  • AI-Driven Personalization: Advanced AI tools are reshaping content discovery, enabling hyper-personalized recommendations, dynamic ad placements, and smarter digital merchandising.
  • Regional Growth of FAST Channels: Free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) is thriving in the U.S., but its global expansion will hinge on tailoring offerings to regional tastes and preferences.

These topics, and many more, will be unpacked during the webinar, providing attendees with practical insights and strategies to navigate the rapidly evolving media landscape.

The Streaming Wars is intentionally ad-free

We don’t run display ads. Not because we can’t, but because we don’t believe in them.

They interrupt the reading experience. They cheapen the work. And they burn advertisers’ money on impressions nobody actually wants.

So we chose a different model.

We say the things people in this industry are already thinking but don’t say out loud. We connect the dots beyond the headline and focus on explaining why things matter to the people working in this business.

If you believe industry coverage can exist without clutter and interruption, you can support it here → SUPPORT TSW.

Support is optional. But it directly funds research and continued coverage — and helps prove this model can work.
