Tubi is expanding its streaming library by licensing content from popular YouTube creators, further integrating digital talent into its free, ad-supported platform.

The Fox-owned streaming service has launched “Tubi for Creators,” a new initiative that builds on its previous efforts to spotlight creator-driven content. As part of the launch, Tubi has partnered with six YouTube creators to bring more than 500 episodes of their shows to the platform, with plans to add more creators and thousands of additional videos in the coming weeks.

The first wave of content includes programming from Rhett & Link’s Mythical, Kinigra Deon, Dan and Riya, FunnyMike, Jubilee, and Watcher Entertainment, the digital studio founded by Steven Lim, Ryan Bergara, and Shane Madej.

“We’re listening to our viewers and recognize their desire for more stories that reflect culture and talent from the digital world,” said Tubi CEO Anjali Sud in a statement. “As the home for free, premium entertainment, Tubi is uniquely poised to bring the creator economy to Hollywood and expand the pathways for creators to succeed in long-form storytelling.”

Among the shows being featured are Dan and Riya’s comedy series “Beverly Valley High,” FunnyMike’s “Mr. Creepy Eyes,” and several hit series from Jubilee, including “Odd One Out,” “Ranking,” “Versus 1,” and content under its Nectar banner. Kinigra Deon’s “Vampire Siblings,” “College Life,” and “The World Didn’t End When I Was 16” are also included, alongside “Mythical’s Last Meals,” a food interview series hosted by Josh Scherer, and Watcher’s paranormal-themed “Are You Scared?”

Tubi for Creators incorporates existing initiatives such as Stubios, the company’s fan-driven content studio and its Kickstarter collaboration to bring more than 20 indie films to the service, and a partnership with The Blacklist that allows writers to submit screenplays for potential development and distribution on Tubi.

The announcement comes as Tubi reports it has surpassed 100 million monthly active users. The platform, acquired by Fox Corporation in 2020, now offers nearly 300,000 movies and TV episodes in the U.S., all available to viewers for free with ads.

The Streaming Wars is intentionally ad-free

We don’t run display ads. Not because we can’t, but because we don’t believe in them.

They interrupt the reading experience. They cheapen the work. And they burn advertisers’ money on impressions nobody actually wants.

So we chose a different model.

We say the things people in this industry are already thinking but don’t say out loud. We connect the dots beyond the headline and focus on explaining why things matter to the people working in this business.

If you believe industry coverage can exist without clutter and interruption, you can support it here → SUPPORT TSW.

Support is optional. But it directly funds research and continued coverage — and helps prove this model can work.
