DAZN Expands Betting Media Presence with LTN Partnership

DAZN is betting on live match data as the next engagement tool in its platform play. With the launch of Scores, a new real-time live scores feature, the sports streamer is rolling out a global solution that lets fans follow more than 1,000 soccer competitions, all for free.

DAZN users can now track live updates across major events such as kick-offs, goals, penalties, and final whistles, along with granular insights like team lineups, attack and defense stats, passing data, and key moments. Fans can customize their experience by selecting clubs and competitions to follow and receive real-time notifications in multiple languages.

While there are plenty of live score apps in the market, DAZN’s move to integrate this tool directly into its core platform makes it frictionless for users and directly additive to the streaming experience. Scores arrives just ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which DAZN will stream entirely for free, positioning it as a tool for second-screen engagement during the tournament.

CEO Shay Segev called Scores an important part of DAZN’s journey to become the ultimate sports entertainment platform. He emphasized the launch as both a product upgrade and a strategic move to drive user engagement, improve content discoverability, and boost loyalty.

The launch of Scores coincides with DAZN’s acquisition of Australia’s Foxtel Group. While not directly related, both reflect DAZN’s broader commitment to expanding its offerings and global reach. Foxtel will continue operating as an Australian business but will benefit from DAZN’s tech and innovation stack.

Scores currently focuses on soccer, but DAZN has indicated that other sports could be added later. It’s a strong move that adds real-time value to the platform at a time when global attention will be focused on major tournaments.

The Streaming Wars is intentionally ad-free

We don’t run display ads. Not because we can’t, but because we don’t believe in them.

They interrupt the reading experience. They cheapen the work. And they burn advertisers’ money on impressions nobody actually wants.

So we chose a different model.

We say the things people in this industry are already thinking but don’t say out loud. We connect the dots beyond the headline and focus on explaining why things matter to the people working in this business.

If you believe industry coverage can exist without clutter and interruption, you can support it here → SUPPORT TSW.

Support is optional. But it directly funds research and continued coverage — and helps prove this model can work.
