NASCAR is accelerating into the streaming arena with the launch of its first FAST channel, the “NASCAR Channel,” exclusively on Fox-owned Tubi. Launching on January 29, the channel will deliver 24/7 NASCAR coverage with no subscription fees or registration requirements.
A Streamlined Destination for NASCAR Fans
The NASCAR Channel will offer a comprehensive array of programming, including classic races and delayed re-airs of 2025 events, original series like “NASCAR Daily,” “Radioactive,” “Refuse to Lose,” and “Hall of Fame Biographies,” as well as video podcasts and documentaries produced by NASCAR Studios. Fans can also enjoy exclusive live coverage of marquee events, such as the NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on February 7 and the Cook Out Madhouse Classic on February 1st.
FAST Channels: Driving Sports Streaming Growth
NASCAR’s foray into FAST streaming reflects a growing industry trend, as sports organizations leverage FAST channels to expand audience reach, monetize non-paying users, and unlock advertising revenue. According to Statista, the U.S. FAST market is projected to reach $5.78 billion in revenue by 2025, with user penetration climbing to 23.1% by 2029. These platforms are expected to attract 80.8 million users by the same year, making them a lucrative avenue for sports and entertainment.
Tubi, which reported over 97 million monthly active users and 10 billion streaming hours in 2024, is well-positioned to host NASCAR’s debut in the FAST space. NASCAR’s Senior Vice President of Content, John Dahl, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting the channel’s ability to offer fans a centralized destination for past and present content.
“As the channel grows, we’ll be adding more and more racing content that we’re confident fans will appreciate,” said Dahl.
Looking Ahead
For NASCAR, the move deepens fan engagement and complements its live event coverage on Fox, including marquee races like “The Clash” and the “Daytona 500.” The NASCAR Channel gives fans a free, accessible way to stay connected to the sport, with Tubi’s growing user base providing a significant opportunity for audience growth.
As the FAST market evolves, NASCAR joins the ranks of Formula One, MLB, and other major leagues, capitalizing on ad-supported streaming to tap into new revenue streams and attract casual viewers. This launch represents a strategic step forward in NASCAR’s content distribution strategy.
The Streaming Wars is intentionally ad-free
We don’t run display ads. Not because we can’t, but because we don’t believe in them.
They interrupt the reading experience. They cheapen the work. And they burn advertisers’ money on impressions nobody actually wants.
So we chose a different model.
We say the things people in this industry are already thinking but don’t say out loud. We connect the dots beyond the headline and focus on explaining why things matter to the people working in this business.
If you believe industry coverage can exist without clutter and interruption, you can support it here → SUPPORT TSW.
Support is optional. But it directly funds research and continued coverage — and helps prove this model can work.
