Fox One Launches on Prime Video for $19.99 with NFL, MLB, and More

Fox’s new direct-to-consumer service, Fox One, is now officially available via Prime Video Channels, giving Amazon customers access to the full Fox content portfolio for $19.99 per month. The deal provides Prime Video subscribers with live and on-demand programming from Fox News, Fox Business, Fox Sports, FS1, FS2, Fox Weather, Big Ten Network, local affiliates, and the main Fox broadcast network. Entertainment titles available at launch include Hell’s Kitchen, Doc, The Floor, The Simpsons, and Bob’s Burgers, among others.

The standout feature of this partnership is sports. Fox One brings a significant expansion to Prime Video’s live sports lineup, which already includes NFL Thursday Night Football. With Fox One, subscribers gain access to NFL Sunday afternoon games, the NFC Championship, MLB regular season coverage, the All-Star Game, and the World Series. It also includes 14 NASCAR Cup Series races, including the Daytona 500, along with IndyCar, marquee Big Ten college football games, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This broadens Prime Video’s ability to serve viewers seeking more comprehensive live sports coverage, without requiring a separate app or sign-up process beyond Amazon.

Pete Distad, CEO of Fox’s direct-to-consumer business, says the company expects modest growth for Fox One, projecting a subscriber base in the mid-single-digit millions over the next few years. His primary target is the 65 million U.S. households that have never subscribed to traditional pay TV. By launching through Prime Video, Fox One sidesteps the challenges of customer acquisition that often plague new apps, tapping into an existing audience of cord-cutters and cord-nevers already active in Amazon’s ecosystem. Distad emphasized that availability and user experience were top priorities in making Fox One easily accessible.

The launch through Prime Video is just one part of a broader distribution strategy. Fox One is also being offered in a $39.99 per month bundle with ESPN’s upcoming standalone streaming service, and as part of a package with Fox Nation for $24.99 per month, or $19.99 when purchased annually. The service is also free to existing pay TV subscribers who authenticate through their provider.

The Streaming Wars is intentionally ad-free

We don’t run display ads. Not because we can’t, but because we don’t believe in them.

They interrupt the reading experience. They cheapen the work. And they burn advertisers’ money on impressions nobody actually wants.

So we chose a different model.

We say the things people in this industry are already thinking but don’t say out loud. We connect the dots beyond the headline and focus on explaining why things matter to the people working in this business.

If you believe industry coverage can exist without clutter and interruption, you can support it here → SUPPORT TSW.

Support is optional. But it directly funds research and continued coverage — and helps prove this model can work.
